New Parish and Assistant Parish Priests at Arambol Church in June 2019

Arambol Church Our Lady of Mount Carmel called ‘Nossa Senhora do Carmo Igreja em Arambol, Goa’ in Portuguese. The Parish will be bestowed by a new Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Rolland Lin Fernandes as per ordinance no CP-P/32/2019 this coming Pastoral year. Fr. Lin as he is fondly called was born on 23^rd September 1971. He was ordinated Priest on 5^th May 1998.

Before becoming the Parish Priest of the Arambol Church, he was the Chaplin of Our lady of Gloria Chapel, Ilha de Rachol affiliated to the Parish of Our Lady of Snows Rachol. Before that, he was the Chapalin of the St. Amthony Chapel Deussa. In his early years as Deacon, he served at Our Lady Snows Church, Raia. He is a firm follower of St. Anthony and tried to increase the devotion of St. Anthony at Deussa as well starting the devotion and worship in the Chapel of Our Lady of Gloria, Ilha de Rachol. Thousands of people would flock the Chapels every Tuesday for the novena of St. Anthony. In Ilha de Rachol he renovated the residential area as well as built a Prayer room for the parishoners.

The Parishoners of Arambol would not only get a spiritual person but also a great musician. Fr Lin has been part of many bands where in a group of priests came together. He plays the violin very well. He has also been the judge of many contests and tiatr festivals organised in and around the state. Fr. Lin is all in all a complete package.

The Parishoners of Arambol church will also welcome Rev. Fr. Joevit D’Costa as their new Assistant Parish Priest as per ordinance no CP-P/76/2019. Fr. Joevit was the prior to this was the assistant Parish Priest of St Andrew the Apostle Church Vasco Da Gama that recently celebrated 450 years. He was also the former manager of St Andrew’s HSS.
