Fr Alvaro Renato Mendes was a Goan Diocesan Priest who worked in the Goan Church of St Andrew the Apostle at Goa Velha, Goa which was built in 1583. He was previously the Chaplain at Caranzalem, Goa and worked as the Parish Priest of Goa Velha and at Canacona. He passed away on 22 March 1994 at Cavelossim, Goa. He was a native of Carmona, Goa.
He worked in Bodiem and then at Tropa. He passed away at Tropa on 15/03/2003 and was buried at Bastora Cemetery.
