Fr Andre Gomes was a gavkar ( Local inhabitant) of Issorcim. Fr Andre Gomes served as the dean in Canara and later as Vicar of Agassaim till he passed away on 3rd July 1657.
During that period, Shivappa Naik was the Ruler of Bednore.
