Priests

Fr Andre Noronha was a Goan Diocesan priest who worked in the Goan Church of Our Lady of Grace at Madel, Chorao, Goa as the Vicar. He was a native of Pomburpa, Goa. In his final will, he expressed the wish of being buried in the sanctuary of the church near the Gospel, near the tomb of the first vicar, Fr Bernardo Coutinho. The Our Lady of Grace Church at Chorao, Goa was built in 1551 and is among the older Goan Churches in the archdiocese. The Chorao Church at Madel is dedicated to Our Lady of Grace. He passed away in 1707.

Fr Andre João do Rosario Barreto was a Diocesan Priest who worked as the Vicar in the Church of Our Lady of Piedade (Piety), Divar, Goa. The Our Lady of Piedade ( Piety) Church at Divar was built in 1625. He was a native of Velsao, Goa. He passed away in Piedade at 7 am on 17 January 1846 at the age of 40.

He was Chaplain of Marna de Siolim and then worked at Bodiem.  He passed away on 22 December 1982.

Frei Antonio da Conceisao was born as Antonio de Almeida Real. He was the son of Joao de Almeida Real and Francisca de Medeiros. he was born in Mangalore in the Parish of Our Lady of the Rosary. He had many important positions in the congregation and was even a provincial from 1744 to 47 and again from 1758 to 59. He worked in the Chapel of St Anthony, Old Goa. He died in the convent of Grace de Goa on 19th January 1769.

Fr Antonio Cruz da Piedade Viegas was a Diocesan Priest who worked as the Vicar in the Church of Our Lady of Piedade (Piety), Divar, Goa. The Our Lady of Piedade ( Piety) Church at Divar was built in 1625. He also worked in the Church of Aldona, Goa. He was a native of Carmona, Goa.

Fr Antonio Cristo P R S Rodrigues e Mascarenhas was a Diocesan Priest who worked as the Vicar in the Church of Sao Bartolomew, (St. Bartolomeu), Chorao, Goa. The St Bartolomeu Church on the Island of Chorao in Goa was built in 1569. He was a native of Majorda, Goa. He Passed away on 2 January 1994.

Fr Antonio Celestino Lobo was a native of Nachinola, Goa. He was the Vicar of Batim and Chorao. During his illness he was assisted by Fr Domingos Gago from Chorao. He also worked as the Vicar in the Church of Sao Bartolomew, ( St. Bartolomeu), Chorao, Goa. The St Bartolomeu Church on the Island of Chorao in Goa was built in 1569. He passed away in Nachinola on 28 September 1777 and was buried in the sanctuary of the Church.
