Fr Antonio de Ataide was a Diocesan Priest who worked as the Vicar in the Church of Sao Pedro, Panelim, Goa. The St Peter’s Church in Goa was built in 1542.
Frei Antonio de Assuncao
Frei Antonio de Assuncao was born as Antonio Pinto de Araujo. Son of Simao Pinto Alvares and D Teresa de Almeida from Porto, Parish of Nossa Senhora da Vitoria. He was the Master of Philosophical and theological courses at the University of Sao Roque de Goa. He was the Rector of the Colegio do Populo 1775-77 and 1778 to 80. He worked in the Royal Chapel of St Anthony at Old Goa. He was elected Bishop of Mylapore by D Jose but died before he could take charge on 28th March 1783 around 9 months before the ship carrying his pontifical appointment letters reached Goa.

Fr Antonio Alvaro Pinto was a Diocesan Priest who worked as the Vicar in the Church of Sao Bartolomew, (St. Bartolomeu), Chorao, Goa. The St Bartolomeu Church on the Island of Chorao in Goa was built in 1569. He was a native of Guirim, Goa. He was promoted as Prior of Se de Diu. He died on 04 September 2003.
