Priests

Fr Arcanjo João Gonsalves was a Goan priest who worked in the Goan Churches of Batim and Penha da Franca as the Vicar. The Batim Church  and the Penha da Franca Church are one of the older Goan Churches in Goa.  He was a native of Ucassaim, Goa.

Fr Antonio Xavier Vas was a Goan Diocesan Priest.  He worked in the Church of Our Lady of Merces at Merces as the Vicar.  The Merces Church was built in 1613. He passed away in Nov 1794.

Frei Antonio Soares was born as Antonio Manuel Soares de Veiga. He was the son of Joao Vicente Soares da Veiga and of D Ana Maria Rosa Correia da Silva e Gama. He was born in Ribandar de Goa. He was the Professor of Morals and also the Rector of Colegio do Populo de Goa in 1834. He was elected Visitator by the Province of Portugal. He worked in the Royal Chapel of St Anthony at Old Goa.

Fr Antonio Silveirio Calado was a native of Verna, Goa. He was the Vicar of Santa Inez, Goa and later worked in the Church of Pilerne, Goa.
