Priests

Fr Martinho Xavier da Costa was a native of Betalbatim, Goa. He worked in the church of Batim and at the now extinct St Simon and St Jude Tadeus Church at Gancim, Goa and at the Talaulim Church, Goa. He died in 1805.

Fr Mateus Francisco Xavier Gracias was a Goan priest who worked in the Goan Church of Batim, the Church of Sanquelim and the church of Corlim as the Vicar. The Corlim Church is dedicated to St John Facundo, (Sao Joao Facundo). The Batim Church, the Corlim Church and the Sanquelim Church are among the older Goan Churches in Goa.  He was a native of Mandur, Goa.
