Fr Isidoro Mendes was a native of Pomburpa, Goa. He was the Vicar of Diu and Bambolim as well as the Church of Chorao. He was the chaplain at the chapel of Calvim and so became the first Parish priest when the chapel became a church. He passed away on 7 July 1996.
