Fr Hipolito Cassiano Custodio das Chagas e Silva was a native of Benaulim, Goa. He worked in the Church of Piedade ( Piety), Divar, Lotoulim in Goa, Santa Inez, Goa. He was the Dean of Piedade. He was later appointed to the church of Pernem and was Dean of Pernem, Goa. He was relieved from service at his request on 7 September 1993.
