Brief Historical Background:
This is perhaps the only European Congregation (founded in Austria, by Jesuit Fr. Antony Maria Bodewig) with the specific goal of working in India, in the fields of evangelization, catechetics, education, health and women & children welfare. The first batch of professed Sisters arrived in India in 1927. Today they work in five Provinces( all in India), although their general head quarters are in Vienna.
