Brief Historical Background :
This Congregation of the Pontifical right was founded by Mother Anna Huberta in 1942, in Bombay. The Sisters are engaged in pastoral, social and medical ministries. Under the motto ‘live for love’. The Sisters keep moving into new and challenging ministries, especially in rural areas. They have 52 branches in India, two in Ethiopia and one in Italy. The apostolate mainly consists of : Home for HIV /AIDS – for children and women; Home for Girls; Mother Anna Playschool; Pastoral work; Social Action – Women’s groups, self-help groups, working with migrant workers.
