Brief Historical Background:
The Congregation was founded by Mother Francisca de la Conception in 1873 at Moncada, Spain, for the purpose of educating women labourers, taking care of the deaf and dumb, orphans, lepers, destitutes, in short, to work for the poorest and the neediest.
