Joaquim Antonio was a governor in the archdiocese. He was born in the island of Divar. He governed in 1863, 64, 65, 66, 68 and 69. He was commander of the Order of Christ. He was a member of the Chapter of the Cathedral of Goa and was a precentor and a member of the ecclesiastical council of the archbishopric which governs in the absence of the archbishop.
