Camillo António Josino Cordéiro was born in Sirula, Bardez, Goa. He was a lieutenant in the Portuguese Army and later studied to become a Pilot. He was later appointed as the Super intendent of the navy of Goa in 1835 and was acting director of the arsenal of the navy and the army for many years. He passed away in 1858.
