History:
The Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Rivona, Goa is called ‘Nossa Senhora do Rosario Igreja em Rivona, Goa’ in Portuguese. The Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Rivona, Goa is popularly called ‘The Rivona Church’ locally in Goa. The Rivona Church was originally a chapel built in 1890. The Rivona chapel was affiliated to the church of Tilamola. The Rivona Chapel became a separate parish by the Provision of April 1, 1940. Since 1952, the Rivona Church has been entrusted to the pastoral care of the members of the Society of Pilar SFX.
