Vocation Sunday at Raia Church

Vocation Sunday is the day, which the Church calls out people to reflect, discover and recognize God’s call to them. This year the vocation Sunday will be celebrated on 15^th September.

The vocation Sunday in the Parish of Our Lady of Snows Church Raia will be celebrated in a different manner unlike any other. The Parishioners of Raia will organize a friendly match between the brothers of the Rachol Seminary against the youth of Raia at the Raia Panchayat Ground at 3:30 pm. The Chief Guest of the evening will be Rev. Fr. Lucio Dias. The Guest of Honour will be Rev.Fr. Alexio Menezes-Rector of the Rachol Seminary, Rev. Fr. Tony Salessa-Rector Saligao Seminary, Rev.Fr. Simao Fernandes-Director of Pastoral institute and Rev. Fr. Derick Fernandes-Director VCDC.

There will Scholarships and Prizes which will be given to the Brothers studying in different seminaries during this mega event. There will also be a match between Rachol Altar Servers and Raia Altar Servers taking place. The special attraction during this event will be a housie of Rs 33,000 that will take place during the game. There will also be a live band playing throughout the event along with YouTube and Television coverage of the entire event by Gctv.
