New Parish Priest at Olaulim Church 2019

Olaulim Church-St. Anne Church, Goa is called ‘Santa Ana Igreja em Olaulim, Goa’ in Portuguese. The Olaulim Church was originally a chapel built in 1752. The  Chapel was affiliated to the parish of Pomburpa. The Chapel was elevated into a separate parish on May 7, 1985.

The Parish will be bestowed by a new Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Francisco Sunil Fernandes in accordance CP-P/62/2019 this coming Pastoral year. Fr. Francisco is a native of Raia. He was born on 3 December 1971 and was ordained a Priest on 29 October 2001. He previously worked at Our Lady of Glory Church, Varca. He takes over the reigns of the Parish from Rev. Fr. Carlos Evaristo da Gama in accordance to CP-P/61/2019. Fr Carlos was born on  25th November 1947 and was ordained into Priethood on 1st May 1972. He was a native of Moira and had vast experience through his previous years as Parish Priests in various other esteem Parishes. He requested for his release from the Parish due to personal reasons.

The Number of Catholics based in the parish of St. Anne Church at Olaulim, Goa is 874 and the Feast of St. Anne Church at Olaulim, Goa is celebrated on 7th May every year.
