Our lady of Hope feast celebrated

Our Lady of Hope Church, Chinchinim, Goa is also known as Nossa Senhora da Esperanca Igreja em Chinchinim in Portuguese was built by the Jesuits in 1590. The Church Celebrates its feast on the 8^th of September or the subsequent Sunday.

This year the feast of the Our Lady of Hope was Celebrated on 8^th September on the occasion of Mother’s Day. The main celebrant of the mass was the Parish Priest of Holy Family Church Alto-Porvorim-Fr Caetano Joaquim Fernandes.

In his homily, Fr Caetano said Mary was a person who treasured Lord Jesus in her womb. When Jesus gave himself to the Cross Mother Mary gave herself to the world and humanity. He later stated that people should receive Lord Jesus in word.
