The Pilar Fathers have made great strides in the Sanguem region due to their commitments. One such achievement is the setting up of the Guardian Angel High School, Sanvordem, Goa. The Guardian Angel High School, Sanvordem, Goa was helped to set up by Fr Gervasio Pinto. Through his dedication, he helped to create a strong foundation for the school and ensured that it was molded in the proper way to make it a centre for learning for young children.
Guardian Angel High School, Sanvordem, Goa is a part of the Xaverian Educational Society and has celebrated 75 successful years. the celebration of the Platinum Jubilee is a sign of the hard work and dedication to the various people behind the running and setting up of the Guardian Angel High School, Sanvordem, Goa.
Guardian Angel High School, Sanvordem, Goa is one of the oldest schools in Goa. The foundation was laid by Late Fr Basilio Andrade who sowed the seeds which have today become a huge institution. The other head masters who headed the school during various times were Fr valencino Godinho, Fr Gervasio Pinto, Fr Marsal Soares, Fr Cyril Mascarenhas, Fr Abrixel Sequeira, Fr Joe Rodricks, Fr Andrew Silveira and Fr Walter Miranda who till date has kept the flame of Guardian Angel High School, Sanvordem, Goa burning bright. The motto of Guardian Angel High School, Sanvordem, Goa is “to develop the intellect and character of each student by providing quality education which is connected to the virtues of Life”.
